After 10 years, actress Narayani Shastri is back to playing a negative role. She will take on the role of a don living in a small village of UP in the TV show Piya Rangrezz. Apart from that, she will also play mother to Gaurav Bajaj. The actress, who had a negative role in Kkusum, admits that there is a paucity of good roles on TV these days.

She says, “I think I had cracked everything when it came to positive roles on TV.
This role required me to look different, fire gunshots and play a don. I am such a non-violent person that my ears went deaf with the noise of the gunshot. And my hands were shaking while holding the gun.” One hears the character is inspired from Supriya Pathak’s role in the film Ram Leela. She says, “I don’t know if the role is inspired from Ram Leela, I am just approaching it my way.”
