New York - US stocks opened lower Thursday after key companies including GM, Caterpillar and Procter & Gamble all reported falling revenues in earnings reports.
About five minutes into trade, the Dow Jones Industrial was down 51.45 points (0.29%) at 17 986.82.
The broad-based S&P lost 2.93 (0.14%) at 2 105.03, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 8.88 (0.18%) to 5 026.289.
