Dr. K Radhakrishnan conferred with P C Chandra Puraskaar 2015

Kolkata, Apr 22 (IBNS) Dr. K Radhakrishnan, ISRO's 'Man of Steel', has received the P C Chandra Puraskaar 2015.
West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi was also present at the event on Wednesday.
 
The Governor said, “It is a privilege for me to felicitate a person like Dr. Radhakrishnan.”
 
He also extended his gratitude towards the host and said, “I would like to take this occasion and congratulate the P C Chandra Family for this wonderful event.”
 
He also left a message for the business fraternity and said, “While the government is doing its job, the onus lies on the private business groups to develop the state.”
 
The prize consisted of a memento, a scroll and an honorarium of INR 10, 00,000.
 
Merit Certificates for the wards of the employees securing good grades in their respective 10th and 12th standard were distributed followed by the long service awards.
 
 In his speech,Radhakrishnan said, “I’m deeply touched and humbled to receive the P C Chandra Puraskaar.”
 
He also added, “I was here, twenty one years ago, as a close aide of Prof U R Rao (who was receiving the same award).”
 
About India’s space advancements he said, “India is a role model to the whole world. India can do it on its own in its own unique way.”
