Real estate CEO fired broker for requesting kosher meals: suit

The CEO of a major Brooklyn real-estate firm fired a broker for requesting a kosher meal for an office function, a new Brooklyn federal lawsuit charges.

Agent Robert Seidenberg, an Orthodox Jew, claims that Fillmore Real Estate boss John Reinhardt blew up at him in May 2013 after the broker suggested Jewish-friendly noshes for an internal office event.

“Reinhardt raised his voice and went on a tirade against him for making the suggestion,” the suit alleges.

“You have some nerve to ask me a question about kosher food,” the suit quotes Reinhardt as stating.

Seidenberg claims Reinhardt terminated him soon after the confrontation and offered up a false pretense to justify the move.

Calls requesting comment placed to Fillmore’s Brooklyn offices and Seidenberg’s attorney, Michael Ferch, were not returned.
