Car catches fire on Hyderabad ORR

A businessman, who was driving his car at high speed on the Outer Ring Road, sustained injuries when his sports car caught fire after he rammed it into a road divider on Outer Ring Road at Himayatsagar on Sunday morning.

According to S.Venkat Reddy, Inspector Rajendarnagar police station, R. Ravi Kumar of Shaikpet was driving his Porsche at a very high speed (between 150 and 200 kmph) when the accident took place. “Apparently the driver lost control over the car and rammed into the divider. He came out of the car and within minutes the car caught fire,” the official said.

Soon after the incident a fire tender was rushed to the spot to put off the fire. However, the car got completely charred. The driver was admitted in a private hospital for treatment.
