Malaysian Arie Irawan Eyes Glorious Outing At CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Arie Ahmad Irawan Fauzi is vying for honours at the US$750,000 (RM2.70 million) CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters sponsored by Enjoy Jakarta Golf which will tee-off at Royale Jakarta Golf Club in Indonesia, Thursday. Arie, 24, who still fresh from winning his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title in the Philippines last week is looking for another glory after a successful breakthrough on the ADT tournament this season. The Selangor-born hotshot got his season to a flying start after winning the PGM Sime Darby Harvard Championship on home soil in January before securing the ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational in the Philippines last week. "I have made great strides in my career since I turned professional. I played the local circuit and went on to the ADT. I didn’t really prove myself by winning on the ADT last year but I was always in the top five. "I managed to get my Asian Tour card this year and eventually won on the ADT this year," Arie said as quoted in the Asian Tour website;www.asiantour.com. "I am turning my attention to the Asian Tour and hope it will be a great week. I have got to do my best every day," Arie added.
