On day three of the fashion week, even side galleries of main hall were full with the audience who were literally hanging out as PFDC successfully managed to kept the momentum upwards.
From first row to top seats, there were people present in lively mood. There were many aspirant eyes in audience, the young designers and models who want to make it big. Once Again many celebs were there to make the event bright. Hassan Shehryar aka Sheru kept bumping with joy and ecstasy and no wonder he made his presence felt in every walk on the ramp. Job well done by HSY events.
3rd day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week kicked off in Bohemian style, with colours of summer and more wearable clothes, Gull Ahmed hit the right spot with their collection titled ‘A Flourishing Journey of Prints’. Indeed it was a refreshing journey for the eyes as most of the designs were comprised of cool and summery assortment of items, with diverse cuts and some new and truly unique designs. The collection showcased a variety of stylish options with unique embroideries, excitingly tied in with glamorously flowing contemporary silhouettes.
Next, it was turn of the rusty and rough, when Shubhinak instilled the mist of patriotism in the air with their collection ‘Pakistan United’, it was the high time of the night, for sure. With Farsi and Pakhtoon tunes, the patchy work on the trousers delivered a strong message. In line with the brand’s inspiration and theme, ‘Pakistan United’ featured a colour palette with naturals and organic dyed earthy tones and embellishments consisting of hand embroidery, crocheting, applique work, Ralli and stone carving from different regions of Pakistan.
The next evening Voile Show was presented by Warda Prints’ whose collection titled ‘Chromatic Ecstasy’ was an ode to Chroma, cruising in an ocean of luscious reds, tangerine oranges, canary yellows and aquatic blues. Bold patterns were the archetype of WARDA, with prints originating from the Medieval Era that were rich in Romanesque antiquity, Oriental artifacts and characteristic Persian Paisleys. Inspired by eastern prints and embellishments, the fusion in this collection was of motifs transcending boundaries and cut lines that could be easily interpreted as contemporary chic & classical eastern drapery.
Next was Alkaram Studio with their PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 collection ‘Savoir Vivre’. Inspired by traditional style and fused with modernity, ‘Savoir Vivre’ featured a blend of conversation prints with traditional ethnic and floral motifs based in a variety of fabrics ranging from lawn, chikan kari to jacquard.
After Harmony presented its latest collection ‘Summer Rhythm’, it was turn of House of Ittehad to end the night with their diverse collection. ‘The Sumer Rouge’ which had been designed by leading couturier HSY. Inspired by a variety of contemporary cultures with a mix of various ethnicities from all around the globe, the collection featured floral and geometric prints with contemporary and stylish cuts, merged with the combination of conventional and unconventional embellishments. Those who were responsible of such a splendorous night must be mentioned, front stage management by Maheen Kardar Ali and backstage management by Product 021.
