Three educational institutes announced for Zaheerabad

Local people will get employment in these centres: CM

In an effort to boost the availability of skilled force for the existing as well as upcoming industries in and around Zaheerabad, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced establishment of three educational institutes - Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Polytechnic College and Skill Development Centre.

Addressing a huge gathering after formally launching a new small commercial vehicle – P601- at Mahindra & Mahindra on Wednesday along with Industries Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, the Chief Minister said that these centres would be established so that the locals can get employment in the industries

Stating that the industries should provide 80 per cent employment for locals only, the Chief Minister said that there would no power cuts in Telangana and urged the industrialists to expand their activities.

He said that the Telangana had overcome the power problems. He said a 220 K.V. sub-station would be established to meet the power demand. “We are happy with the activities of Mahindra & Mahindra and promise to extend all possible support. Input VAT tax for this industry was reduced from 14 per cent to 5 per cent for which the orders were issued on Tuesday,” he said. Stating that MRF also planned to expand its unit at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,000 crore, the CM said that this would create jobs for about 1,000 persons.

Referring to the issues pointed out by MLA J. Geeta Reddy, KCR said that water would be supplied for every house in 16 months without fail. Council Chairman K. Swami Goud, Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy, Sangareddy legislator Ch. Prabhakar and others were present.
