The 20-year-old OCAD student who went missing two days ago has been located, police say.

In a statement released Wednesday night, Toronto Police Service said Asmaa Bana was located at approximately 5 p.m. Police say she left on her own accord and was staying with a friend. She was found at a Tim Hortons restaurant in Toronto and is in good health.

Police said Bana called police to tell them her location.

Bana's disappearance had concerned police after all of her social media accounts were deactivated.

Det. Paul Elliott told CTV Toronto earlier on Wednesday this was "extremely unusual" for a young adult.

Prior to her disappearance, police said Bana was last seen at 7 a.m. in the Dixon Road and Kipling Avenue area. A Facebook post written by a friend said she was also seen by fellow students at the downtown university on Monday afternoon.
