James Bond's Daniel Craig earned USD 5 million for just holding a mobile phone in the movie Skyfall.

Leaked Sony Pictures emails showed that he got the fee from the firm's electronics division for using their Xperia mobile in the movie, the Mirror reported.

In an email to colleagues including former Sony Pictures CEO Amy Pascal, Sony marketing boss George Leon details plans to secure a new endorsement deal with the phone brand for upcoming Bond movie Spectre, writing, Heres a quick update and a suggestion about asking for a placement fee ... Sony Mobile has now provided us with the needed visuals of the new Z4 Phones. These phones are the planned phones for May/November of 2015. Im attaching the visual for you to see.

He also suggests Craig could be on track to earn the same again for a product placement in Spectre, unless Bond bosses decided to give the job to Ben Whishaw, who plays gadget master Q, instead.
With the product placement a success, Sony wanted a similar deal for 'Spectre,' but emails showed rival Samsung offered tens of millions more to provide 007's phone.

But movie bosses negotiating a new deal for the next Bond film tried to cut the actor out to save cash, writing "NO Daniel this time".
