PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week 2O15 progressed further into second day with even more zeal and grace. The atmosphere was electrifying and a huge turnout of audience revealed the success of first day.
Fashion stalwarts like Hina Butt and Zara Shahjahan created a magic on the ramp equally well complemented from the audience, as celebs like Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi made their presence felt. The teams of NADIA’S and NGENTS did a terrific job with styling. The presence of HSY on the control panel added the impetus in already powerful performances; his company HSY events choreographed the whole show.
The day kicked off on a high note when ‘Generation’, which already possesses a great number of fans showcased their designs in the segment called high street fashion. Cleary, audience was more receptive to the high street casual walks as they could easily relate with the overall theme. Generation’s collection titled ‘I See You’ drew inspiration from the animalistic dispositions that can be found within each of us - the thin, raw line that separates what is human and what is organic.
Following Generation was designer Shirin Hassan who presented a high street collection titled ‘Rock N Rolla’. Inspired by a myriad of colours and textures, the collection was a fusion of western contemporary cuts, full skirts, cropped tops, structured pants, crisp creations in a vibrant colour palette.
Designer Rayya Gilani made her PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week debut with a High-Street collection titled ‘Vintage Luxury’ inspired from the luxurious side of the Victorian era.
The concluding High Street Fashion show of the day was presented by retailer fashion brand BeechTree who showcased their Spring/Summer 2015 collection ‘Porcelain Dreams’. The collection drew inspiration from the Orient, Chinoiserie and classic Eastern motifs and was based in a colour palette comprising of blues, whites and gold. Second part of the show started with ‘Discipline and Drama’ by MUSE which portrayed different moods of a women, without a doubt, it was one of the most creative themes since start of PFDC 2015.
After MUSE, designer label Saira Shakira showcased their Spring/Summer collection ‘Eclectic Retro’ at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015. Her collection was inspired from the American painter Georgia O’Keeffe, a pioneer of American modernism.
Drawing inspiration from Iznik and Persian ceramic patterns, Nida Azwer Atelier presented a Luxury/Prêt collection titled ‘The Iznik Collection’. Inspired by Suzani, a textile technique from Uzbekistan, Next was Teena by Hina Butt, who presented a collection of Luxury/Prêt titled ‘Suzandozi’ with a focus on colourful needlework.
Zara Shahjahan’s collection was the show stopper titled “New Vintage” focused largely on attributes, qualities and challenges faced by modern women. Colourful, bold and authentic show ended the event on a high.
Following were the real heroes of the event, front stage management was done by Maheen Kardar Ali, backstage management by Product 021, Sara Shahid of Sublime was the official spokesperson for the PFDC, logistics and operations was dealt by Eleventh Experience and photography by Faisal Farooqui and the team at Dragonfly, Hum TV/Hum Sitaray served as the Official Media Partners, CityFM89 as the Official Radio Partners with all media management by Lotus Client Management & Public Relations.
