Couple held for killing man

Police on Tuesday arrested two family members of one Balaraju, who was killed at Tilaknagar on April 15 night following an altercation over sharing the family’s ration card. Balaraju’s elder brother, E. Ankanna and his wife Ganga Devi, were arrested on charges of hitting him with a pestle, causing in his death, RIMS Circle Inspector N. Narayana said. Police also arrested three persons and seized five red sander logs in a raid on the agricultural field of Gongalreddy Venkata Reddy in Eguva Thamballapalli village in Kalasapadu mandal on Tuesday.
