MORUMBI ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

Morumbi Resources Inc. has appointed Stephen Shefsky as a director of the company. Mr. Shefsky had previously served as a director and vice-chairman of the company until November, 2013, when he resigned for personal reasons.

Mr. Shefsky has extensive experience in developing and financing companies in the extractive industries. Mr. Shefsky is the president and chief executive officer of James Bay Resources, an emerging exploration and production company with a focus on acquisition and development of oil and gas assets in the prolific Delta region of Nigeria. Previously, he co-founded Brasoil do Brasil Exploracao Petrolifera SA, a private oil and gas production and exploration company that has been operating in Brazil since 2006. Mr. Shefsky has also been the president and chief executive officer of Cancap Investments Ltd., a private merchant bank providing venture capital and project financing for private and public companies, since 1985. From 1996 to August, 2007, Mr. Shefsky held the positions of president and chief executive officer of Verena Minerals Corp., a minerals exploration company with a focus on precious metal properties in Brazil (currently Belo Sun Mining Corp.). Mr. Shefsky holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto, a master of science degree in urban planning from Columbia University and a juris doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
