Dileep, Sreenivasan to team up again
Their chemistry and comic timing gave delightful moments in Ranjith Sankar’s 2009 release Passenger.
Now the Dileep-Sreenivasan combo is back again. In the upcoming film directed and scripted by debutante John Paul, Dileep plays a character that belongs to the Brahmin community, and Sreenivasan acts as a Pentecost pastor. Shine Tom Chacko, Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Sai Kumar and Kalinga Sasi will play the other major roles.
The film’s director John tags it in the comedy genre, but adds, “Through a single story we want to tell the tale of four people. The movie also discusses beliefs of people coming from various religious backgrounds. Humour is a major element in it.”
One of the major characters in the film is a seven-year-old girl, and the team is currently on the lookout for a suitable artiste for the role.
“A major portion will be shot in Tirunelveli and Marthandam. Many sequences, especially those involving Sreenivasan’s character, will be set against the backdrop of a village,” explains John. Vishnu Vijayan scores music for the movie, which will go on floors towards the end of this year.
