U.S. distributor Ro*co Films has secured global sales for Lyric Cabral and David Felix Sutcliffe’s Sundance award-winning doc (T)ERROR as well as David Holbrooke’s The Diplomat (pictured), ahead of its Tribeca debut.

Cabral and Sutcliffe’s film on the FBI’s use of informants in counter-terrorism sting operations – a copro between BBC doc strand ‘Storyville,’ PBS funding arm Independent Television Service (ITVS), and Danish broadcaster DR – has been acquired by Finland’s YLE and Israel’s DBS.

Elsewhere, ahead of its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday (April 23), David Holbrooke’s The Diplomat – on the filmmaker’s father, U.S. ambassador Richard Holbrooke – has been picked up by Israel’s DBS and Sweden’s UR Swedish Broadcasting.

Both broadcasters plan to program the film in November, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords, which ended the war in Bosnia and were negotiated by Holbrooke.

In other news, the distributor has inked three theatrical deals for Paola di Floria’s Awake: The Life of Yogananda, on the Hindu mystic Paramahansa Yogananda who brought yoga and meditation to the West in 1920. Madman will handle the theatrical release in Australia and New Zealand, while Jupiter Films will release in France/DOM and Kyriaki Georgiopoulos is to take the film to Greece.
