Gujarat BJP spokesperson IK Jadeja today shared more details on BJP’s victory in local body by-polls:

– BJP has won 2 seats in Municipal Corporation and 32 seats of Municipalities. Thus it has won total 34 seats.

– BJP has retained two seats of Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Out of 36 seats of 11 Municipalities in 9 districts that went for bypoll, BJP has won 32 seats including one seat in Veraval Patan municipality.

– Before these by-polls BJP had 6 seats in municipalities that have increased to 32. Congress had 27 seats but now it has just 4 seats.

– BJP candidates have been victorious on all 17 seats of Bhachau Municipality.

– Congress candidate have lost deposit in Vadodara district’s Karjan Municipality ward no. 1 and 6 and Anand Municipality ward no. 7.

– Karjan had Congress rule but now BJP has achieved clear majority here and Congress has lost power.
