Lava has launched the Iris 370, listing it on its site at a price of Rs. 3,599. So far, there is no announcement from Lava about the availability of the handset.

The Lava Iris 370 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 3.5-inch (320x480 pixels) HVGA TFT display. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor coupled with 256MB of RAM. It comes with 512MB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. On the connectivity front, the Iris 370 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1300mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time on 3G networks. It measures 110x61.4x11.5mm, and will be available in Black/ Red, and Black/ Blue colour combinations.

Lava last week expanded its Iris X1 series with the launch of the Lava Iris X1 Atom. Priced at Rs. 4,444, the dual-SIM Lava Iris X1 Atom runs Android 4.4 KitKat while the company promised an Android 5.0 Lollipop update over-the-air (OTA) in the future. A time-frame for the rollout has not been mentioned as of yet.

The Iris X1 Atom features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 233ppi and 16.7 million colour gamut. The smartphone under-the-hood houses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) clubbed with 512MB of RAM. The Iris X1 Atom bears 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
