Terming the demonstration by Congress on the Land Acquisition Bill as a “Drama”, Bikram Singh Majithia Revenue and Public Relations Minister Punjab said that this is nothing but a poor attempt in fact a flop show by Congress in a bid to make Rahul the Party Chief.Majithia was talking to media after laying the foundation stone of developmental works and distributing grants worth Rs. 1 crore 26  lakh to Panchyats for development of villages in Majitha constituency.Majithia, General Secy. of Shiromani Akali Dal said that Congress organized the complete drama just to save its existence and make its present felt in media.  He added that had the congress paid heed to problems of farmers during its tenure then it would not have been in such a pathetic state of affairs.  He said that Congress has failed to acquire the status of opposition leader in the centre and in many states it has been wiped away in such a manner that its re-emergence in those states is beyond conception. Taking big at internal strike in Congress, Mr. Majithia said that the rift is evident not just in the rank and file of Congress but also in the mother-son duo and an environment of distrust is looming large over the party.

Earlier, Mr Majitha distributed grants worth Rs1 crore 26 lakh all the development of 5 villages including Rs. 40 lakh for Abadi Varpal, Rs. 36 lakh for Sohian Kalan, Rs.30 Lakh for Pander Kalan, Rs 10.5 lakh for village Pander Khurd and Rs.9.5  lakh for village Johal.  He informed that road to Bhallowali via village Madipur will be made 18 ft. from the existing 10 ft at a cost of Rs. 3.25 crore and the approval for the same has been given by the Government.  He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Dy. Chief Minster Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal are fulfilling all the promises made to the people. He said that they are trying to reach the people in their villages, assess their needs and there after issue grants for the development works. He said that by the year 2017 all the approach roads to deras in Majitha Constituency would be strengthened.He was accompanied by Mr. Raj Mohinder Singh Majitha former member Rajya Sabha, Talbir Singh Gill, Jodh Singh Samra, Major Shivi, Harvinder Singh Bhullar, Pappu Kotla, Chairman Balbir Singh Chandi, Gurpreet Randhawa, prof. sarchand singh and a host of other local leaders.
