Three drown in the Bhima

Two women drowned in the Bhima near Joladadgi village in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district on Monday while washing their clothes. Police identified the victims as Hanumanti (14) and Renuka (22) of Joladadgi village.

Meanwhile in Kalaburagi, a body of 35-year-old man was found floating in the Bhima near Kattisangavi Bridge in Jewargi taluk on Monday. The victim has been identified as Jaganath Pujari, a resident of Sedam taluk. He had allegedly ended his life by jumping into the river on Sunday, the police said. The police said there were no external injuries on the body.

The bodies of the victims have been recovered with the help of local swimmers.
