Chamber Happy With Road Works

The Labasa Chamber of Commerce is happy that the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Pio Tikoduadua, fulfilled his promise on the re-sealing of the town’s main roads.

Staff members of Fulton Hogan Hiways were busy on Sunday resealing the Nasekula Road in Labasa Town.

“We met with the Minister last month, where we had asked him if the roads could be fixed in the main street and he said that it would be done,” says Chamber president Satish Kumar.

“We are really happy that he kept his promise because works have begun on Nasekula Road and the business community are fully aware of the work done.

“Works started from the end of town towards the bus stand then in front of the RB Patel Supermarket and now from the front of Fiji Sun office.”

He said work carried out on a Sunday was a good idea because it did not interrupt their business hours and movement with the town area.
