2 cops injured in accidents

CHANDIGARH: Two cops were injured in separate road accidents in Manimajra on Sunday night.
Traffic police constable Reena Devi was on way home in Manimajra on her two-wheeler when a speeding SUV hit her near railway light-point. Police said Reena, who could not note down the registration number of the SUV, called up her colleague, Jitender, who took her to GMCH-32.Her condition was stated to be stable.
In the other incident, constable Sushil Kumar was injured when a speeding motorcycle, which he signaled to stop at a check-point, hit him near Samadhi Gate, Manimajra. He received injuries on his legs. The motorcyclist, Javed, was arrested and granted regular bail.
Cases have been registered.
