CHENNAI:
Sulekha.com, a
digital platform for fulfilling local services’ requirement, has raised Rs 175 crore from
GIC, the
sovereign wealth fund of Singapore, and existing investor Norwest Venture Partners. The company said it will use the funds to expand its user and local service provider network, to focus on technology and branding and enable rapid adoption of services on its mobile application.
“This investment by GIC and Norwest is a powerful endorsement of the vast potential of the local services opportunity in India and Sulekha’s ability to prosecute it successfully,” said Satya Prabhakar, CEO of Sulekha.com.
