Some are goofy, some sarcastic, some act as our social conscience, albeit a funny way — social networking sites are flooded with these Indian and India-origin videos that can definitely give their foreign counterparts a run for their money. Here is a list of some of those videos, that will make you laugh till you drop.
AIB (ALL INDIA BACKCHOD)
The founding fathers of this group were Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba, who were then joined by two other stalwarts of India’s standup comedy scene, Ashish Shakya and Rohan Joshi.
The four produced several popular podcasts before turning to a popular video-sharing channel a year ago. Most of their videos are humourous takes on the Indian government and the masses. It also involves ‘Roasting’ famous names in the industry. However, their most recent show, the Roast of Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, didn’t go down with a major part of the public too well. But they also take social stands on various subjects, latest being a funny video on the controversial subject of net neutrality that went viral within minutes.

KANAN GILL
Ever watched a movie so horrible that you’d wish you could stab someone? No, this spoof won’t be stabbing anyone for you, but his rib-tickling review of the movies will have you ROFL in no time! Kanan Gill and his friend, Biswa Kalyan Rath, have been dishing out a range of hilarious videos on a video-sharing website under ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’. A stand-up comedian, musician, writer, blogger, and a hire for Shahid Kapoor’s lookalike, Kanan Gill is a splendid entertainer from Bangalore who comes up with genuinely funny reviews. We’re also sure that his charismatic presence coupled with boyish charm and droolworthy smile are added reasons for his videos to go viral.

SUPERWOMAN
She’s funny. She’s crazy. She’s Superwoman! This Punjabi kudi is none other than Lilly Singh. Toronto-based Singh is better known by her screen name Superwoman. Her vlogs address everything from racism to social media usage, besides a daily chronicle of her life. Trust us when we say she’s the BFF you really want. She completely understands how you feel about sleep. She’s clueless about the things we are clueless about. She knows how it feels to be embarrassed by our parents. This Shah Rukh and Madhuri fangirl knows just how to brighten up an awkward situation through her hilarious vlogs! Superwoman to the rescue!

JUS REIGN
You’ve been living under a rock if you don’t know who JusReign is! Jus Reign, also known as Jasmeet Singh, is a Canadian-Punjabi comedian who has graced the social media generation with his insanely humorous spoofs, vlogs, and rants. As the son of parents who hail from Punjab, Singh’s videos usually revolve around his identity as a brown man living in Canada as well as his religious beliefs. Goofily funny and hilariously edited, his videos have earned him around 4.7 million subscribers and counting.

ABISH MATHEW
The former radio jockey found his calling in school, where he was called on to host events and discovered that he liked being on stage and make people laugh. Mathew claims to be his own critic and doesn’t like any of his own work. But the 32,000 followers of his video-sharing channel may beg to differ. He launched his solo comedy show Son of Abish last year. Just utter those three words very fast, don’t they sound like a much-known abuse? Abish also thought so. As he frequently heard this abuse from his father as a kid, he decided to give them a twist and use as his show’s name! How we heart this self-deprecating humour.
