Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) Climbed To A 4-Month High On Q1 Earnings

Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $1.06 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.91. Revenues fell by 9% to $10.25 billion from $11.24 billion in the prior year. Analysts expected revenues of $10.46 billion.

Schlumberger gapped open sharply higher Friday, but gave back gains throughout the morning. The stock closed up by 0.97 at $92.86 on the highest volume of the year. Schlumberger has been gaining ground for the past month and set a 4 1/2 month high.
