LAS VEGAS 10, FRESNO 5: Rafael Montero began the process of getting stretched out for an April 28 start at Miami. Montero, as prescribed, started and logged 44 pitches. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out three in 2 2/3 innings. Originally scheduled starter Steven Matz took over in the third and ultimately earned the win. Matz limited the Grizzlies to two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks in five innings. Kevin Plawecki was pulled after two at-bats and promoted to the majors in place of injured Travis d'Arnaud. Matt Reynolds went 3-for-5 with four RBIs to lift his average to .348. HARRISBURG 10, BINGHAMTON 2: The B-Mets trailed 3-1 after seven innings when the wheels fell off. Relievers Dario Alvarez and Adam Kolarek combined to allow seven runs in the final two frames. With leading hitter T.J. Rivera having landed on the DL with a strained right hamstring, the B-Mets were limited to seven hits. The Senators struck first, getting on the board in the second inning when second baseman Jairo Perez's error allowed Pedro Severino to score. Caleb Ramsey added to the Senators' lead with a two-run single in the fourth. Binghamton responded an inning later on Jared King's RBI single. But Binghamton didn't score again until the eighth, when they were aided by shortstop Adrian Sanchez's error. The miscue extended the inning and allowed Josh Rodriguez to drive in a run with his sixth hit in the last two games. Starter John Gant (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings. Box

FORT MYERS 3, ST. LUCIE 2 (11 innings): Michael Conforto went 3-for-5 with his fourth homer of the season, but Fort Myers rallied for the win. Aderlin Mejia knocked a pinch-hit single off the glove of shortstop Amed Rosario to drive in the winning run in the 11th. The Mets took a 2-1 lead into the top of the ninth, but Nikko Goodrum hit a sac fly against Robby Coles with the bases loaded to tie the score. The Mets loaded the bases with no one out in the 10th, but Todd Van Steensel recovered by striking out Colton Plaia, Victor Cruzado and Champ Stuart to keep the score tied at 2. St. Lucie starter Rob Whalen allowed one unearned run in five innings and twice stranded the bases loaded. Conforto tied the score in the sixth with a leadoff homer against Miracle starter Ryan Eades. Maikis De La Cruz recorded the first four-hit game for the Mets. Box

CHARLESTON 8, SAVANNAH 3 (suspended): A heavy storm halted the game at Historic Grayson Stadium with Charleston leading the top of the sixth. It will resume Thursday at Charleston before the regularly scheduled game. Charleston scored seven times in the top of the sixth against starter Josh Prevost and reliever Gaither Bumgardner. Prevost was charged with five earned runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. He walked one and struck out seven. The Gnats had taken a 3-1 lead in the fifth on John Mora's RBI single. Box
