Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two robberies in Methuen Sunday morning. Authorities were notified about 8 a.m. that the CVS at 76 Swan St. was robbed by an unarmed man who reached over the counter and grabbed money from the register while buying candy, according to police. The man was wearing a black mask and latex gloves. The same man may also have robbed a Family Dollar store on Jackson Street around the corner from the CVS, police said. In that robbery, the suspect pulled out a knife while buying a drink, then reached over the counter and snatched fistfuls of money from the cash register before fleeing on foot. Police posted surveillance footage from both stores on the department's Facebook page.
