PATNA: NCP will align with like-minded parties in the upcoming assembly election and final decision in this regard will soon be taken, according to party's general secretary Tariq Anwar.
Addressing 'Yuva Swabhimaan Sammelan' at NCP headquarters here on Sunday, Tariq accused the Modi government of bluffing the nation. "PM Narendra Modi promised to give employment to two crore youths every year, but nothing has been done.
So called 'achhe cin' have not come for common people but definitely for Modi, who now wears dress worth Rs 10 lakh and changes his dress more than ten times a day."
Tariq said the NDA government, instead of doing anything good for the country, was spreading communal hatred in the name of 'love jihad' and 'ghar wapsi'. "Even Bihar is undergoing crisis and the image of the state was maligned after mass cheating at the recent Class X examinations conducted by Bihar School Examination Board. Because of lack of good institutes in the state, our students have to go to other places for higher studies. People here need employment, good infrastructure, electricity and water," he said
State NCP president Kumar Gyanendra said the state's development was hampered during Lalu-Rabri regime for 15 years, and later for 10 years during Nitish regime. "Now both Lalu and Nitish are planning to ruin the state together. But we will never let it happen," he said.
The conference passed a resolution demanding creation of Yuva Ayog by Central and state governments, unemployment benefit of Rs 5,000 per month to people in 20-40 year age group along with free health insurance, equal pay for equal work for school teachers working on contract and free higher and technical education to members of minority community.
