Victoria Smurfit will return to Ireland for a visit this summer with her young children after her 15 year marriage ended earlier this year.

The Irish actress and her husband Doug Baxter filed for divorce in February, four years after the couple moved to LA with their three children.

Speaking to The Sunday Independent, Victoria (40) revealed that she and her brood were looking forward to the holiday home to Ireland later this year.

“It should be fun,” she said.

The actress and her media entrepreneur husband released a statement to The Irish Independent in February which said:  “We have always been a tight-knit family unit and we are both committed to maintaining that going forward.

"Our children are our highest priority, so to protect them we will not be discussing it further. Change is difficult enough."

The couple have three children together Evie Dorothy (10), Ridley Belle (7) and Flynn Alexander (6).

The actress has recently starred in NBC’s Dracula opposite Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Lady Jayne.

The 10-part series re-telling Bram Stoker's 1897 classic was dropped because of falling ratings and Victoria recently filmed 'Once Upon a Time' in Vancouver - an American fairytale in which the Dubliner plays Cruella De Vil.

The actress recently revealed that she's in no rush to be dating and won't be chasing a cliche of searching for a rich, older man.

"Now, it's me, the three kids, two dogs, a cup of tea, a bottle of wine, girlfriends… I'm really looking forward to filling my dinner table with people and laughing a lot. I just want lots of laughter and fun and food," she explained.

"You're not going to find me down on the Santa Monica boardwalk in a pair of hot pants and rollerblades, looking for a 70-year-old with a bad cough! That, I can tell you for sure, I will not be doing. I can't."
