I see a different side of me now: Srikanth
Actor Srikanth has been taking the path less trodden, the last few days. The Paagan actor, who is working on his first horror flick, Sowcarpet, just cant stop gushing about the horrific experience. Its such a drastic change from all the characters I have portrayed before. I feel as if a different side of me is coming to the fore. Horror films are evoking a lot of excitement these days and the audience is very encouraging about the genre.
I think its the sudden shock element that spirals up the enthusiasm. A case in point is my daughter, who is more attached to me now. Both my son and daughter love the fact that I am doing a horror film. Its nice to work with Raai Laxmi, who is experienced in the genre. But what sets this film apart from her earlier horror films, is that she gets to play the ghost in Sowcarpet. We have wrapped up 30 per cent of the shoot.
Quiz Srikanth if he is on an experimental mode, with a sci-fi comedy Nambiar and horror Sowcarpet, and pat comes the reply. I have always been doing different kind of films. Some films click, some dont. I am awaiting the release of Nambiar in May. Since the big films do not stick to their release date, smaller films keep getting pushed. Moreover, there is a release every week and the competition is soaring. Nambiar will be followed by Om Shanti Om.
