Three minor boys have been forced to live in the prison with their mother who is accused in a gang rape case.

SURAT: Three minor boys have been forced to live in the prison with their mother who is accused in a gang rape case. They have been rendered helpless with no one to take care of them as their father, who is also accused in the case, is on the run.
The kids are lodged in Lajpor Central Jail (LCJ) since Friday evening with their mother Anshu Babloo Chaube after the court sent her to judicial custody.
The boys are nine, seven and three years old.
Anshu is a resident of Limbayat area. She was arrested on Friday for allegedly abetting rape of a 24-year-old woman. The victim was allegedly raped by Anshu’s husband Babloo and his friends Raju and Sarvesh Upadhyay. All work in a textile mill.
According to police, Anshu had spiked the victim’s drink before she was raped by the accused. All four were booked by police on April 1. All three men are on the run.
After her arrest, Anshu requested police to take care of her kids as she didnt have an extended family. “Police produced the children before the court, which directed that the children be kept with their mother in the jail,” said R L Patel, ÁCP, B-division.
