23 killed in Afghanistan bomb blast outside bank


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) 23 killed, 50 injured after explosive-laden motorbike is detonated in eastern Nangarhar province.

An explosion in eastern Afghanistan killed at least 23 people and injured 50 others on Saturday.

Local officials said a motorbike packed with explosives exploded in front of a bank in Nangarhar province.

Afghan security forces carried out two controlled blasts shortly afterwards.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid denied that the militant group was responsible for the attack.
