Pvt jet from UK makes emergency landing

BHOPAL: A private jet from United Kingdom made an emergency landing at Raja Bhoj airport on Saturday evening after a technical snag in the engine. Jet was on way from Abu Dhabi to Shanghai.
According to director of Bhopal airport, K Gunasekaran, a private jet carrying three crew members including a female requested for emergency landing. “Air traffic control accepted their request and allowed them to land,” he said.He said crew members are safe. “Jet will remain at the airport on Saturday and will take off on Sunday after the issue is fixed. Crew have been put up at VIP lodge of the airport. Sources said at around 5 pm the private jet from Abu Dhabi started hovering over the sky of Bhopal. “There was smoke emanating from the engine,” an onlooker Pradeep told TOI.
