Fire breaks out at bank

Fire broke out at ICICI bank’s Puttur branch in Kallare on Wednesday. According to Niranjan, Deputy Branch Manager of the bank, a security guard noticed smoke coming out of the cabin of the branch manager around 8 a.m. He immediately called the bank personnel, who alerted the Fire and Emergency Services personnel, who doused the fire in about 30 minutes. Four air conditioners, closed-circuit television cameras and its control panel, a computer and a few other electronic devices in the bank manager’s chamber were destroyed.
