C. Charu (25) of Ravipudur Kadai, Vilavacode taluk, Marthandam, a doctor in a Government Hospital, was killed in an accident on bypass road near Karisalkulam under Kayathar police limits on Saturday evening. According to Kayathar Inspector of Police Udhayasuriyan, the doctor, who drove a car, hit a lorry from behind, that was entering the bypass road. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. He was appointed in Reddiyarpatti GH in Aruppukottai, recently.
The body was taken to Kovilpatti Government Headquarters Hospital for post mortem. Based on a complaint lodged by Akilandapuram VAO Kombaiah, Kayathar police have filed a case.
