Wedding ring, safe stolen from Lowell home
More than $30,000 in jewelry stolen
Vivian Torres-Denny returned home from work Friday to find that her wedding ring and a safe had been stolen.
Torres-Denny, a Lowell resident, said the thieves knew exactly where her jewelry was kept, leading her to believe she knows the culprits.
"They went straight to where it was, they knew exactly where everything was so that's why I think it was someone who knows me," Torres-Denny said.
Torres-Denny returned home from work to find her door had been broken in with a crowbar.
More than two dozen pieces of jewelry worth $30,000 were stolen.
A closet door was also pried open, and the safe kept inside stolen, according to Torres-Denny.
"This thing is pretty big, and you need two guys to pick it up and take it with you," Torres-Denny said. "It's really heavy."
A laptop and tablet were also stolen.
Torres-Denny said she was in the process of insuring her jewelry when the theft occurred.
