EZULWINI – As golf continues to grow in the country, one of the leading supporters of the sport, MTN Swaziland, yesterday officially launched its VIP Golf innovation.

The innovation, as explained by the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Khulile Dlamini, is a proposal meant to avail the facility to MTN customers who wish to learn and play the sport while grooming golf players among the country’s population.

“The idea is to open more opportunities for Swazis as not everyone is employed and we all come from different backgrounds. Currently, we have 60 customers we picked from our clients who will have access to the facility and we expect to do this in steps for the next three months as we expect to be getting new clients in this period,” he said.

The event attended by amateur golfers and the selected beginners as well as Swaziland Golf Union (SGU), which was represented by Clark Thom, was held at the MTN Swaziland Headquarters which also houses the MTN Golf Club. Dlamini explained that the beginners in golf will have an hour’s session with the resident coach, Johannes Dlamini, on appointment while they had eight playing sessions each month and free refreshments among other things including the chipping green.
