‘Bharatha Unavu Thiruvizha’ on Sunday

Student chefs of the Hotel Management and Catering Science AJK College of Arts and Science, Navakkarai, have organised the 7{+t}{+h}food festival ‘Pozhil Vaichi Bharatha Unavu Thiruvizha’ – an exclusive food festival of Indian heritage – at Maharaja Mahal on Palani Road, Pollachi, from 6.30 p.m. on April 19.

The ‘Thiruvizha’ will have a combination of North Indian, South Indian, East Indian and Western Indian cuisine regional styles. There would be close to 50 dishes from salads, soups to sweets. ‘Pozhil Vaichi Bharatha Unavu Thiruvizha’ will also have special dishes such as stuffed whole lamb and chilli grilled lobster that will be prepared by the student chefs.

A kebab corner offering murug palak, potato mushroom, sheek, kalmi, kakuri and shami kebabs, tikka corner with lemon chicken tikka, mushroom tikka, paneer tikka, fruit tikka and many more items, a live tandoor counter offering exclusive tandoor dishes would be the highlights of the food festival.

A buffet spread of around 50 dishes including vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Dance, music and games are also part of the fest. Entry donor passes are available at Sri Krishna Sweets outlets at Pollachi and Udumalpet. For more details organisers can be contacted at 8489999776.
