Ex-scholars Donate $5900
The Bulileka College Ex-Students Association in Labasa received a timely donation of $5900 from their colleagues living in the United States on Tuesday.
The association has been involved in school projects like the upgrading of the school’s kindergarten, the primary school and Bulileka College.
Association president Saren Singh said they sought the help of their colleagues to help maintain the school.
“We sent a request to former students at the US to help us financially to upgrade the school kindergarten,” Mr Singh said.
The money would be used for the construction of a school walkway to avoid students getting wet during rain.
Meanwhile, the association had also contributed towards the cyclone relief in Vanuatu.
