SMC likely to introduce free wi-fi facility soon

Citizens of Surat may get free wi-fi facility in near future as upcoming Standing Committee meeting of Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) is going to discuss a project in partnership with Reliance Jio in this connection.
SMC has already started wi-fi at its headquarters on experiment basis. Gradually SMC wants to expand this facility to all zone offices, science scenter, Narmad library, Sarthana nature park, SMIMER college, acqurium, Seva Sada-2, district panchayat office, 14 model schools, BRTS bus stands, Maskati hospital, Vividhlakshi library, Tapi river front, river walk-way, Gopi talav, heritage square, Jawaharlal Nehru chopati, Lake view garden, Jyotindra Dave garden, Snehrashmi botanical garden, Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee lake garden, Maharana Pratap garden and other places.
A user will be able to use internet for daily upto 100 MB data limit and continuously maximum 20 minutes of internet.
