Maserati launches more efficient Quattroporte in Singapore

Hong Seh Motors, the official importer for Maserati in Singapore, has launched a new engine for the Maserati Quattroporte. The sixth generation flagship luxury sedan now comes equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 330bhp engine as an addition to the existing portfolio of the 530bhp V8 Maserati Quattroporte GTS, the 410bhp V6 Quattroporte S and the 275bhp V6 Quattroporte Diesel.
The engine was designed by Maserati and is being manufactured by Ferrari in Maranello for exclusive use of Maserati. With 330bhp at 5,000rpm, the heart of the Quattroporte delivers a powerful drive with a torque of 500Nm between 1,750rpm and 4,500rpm.
Thanks to this new downsized engine, the Quattroporte is able to achieve the lowest ever fuel consumption in its 50-year history with just 9.8L/100km as well as low CO2 emissions of 228g/km. The latest addition to the Quattroporte range retains its sporty Maserati character with an acceleration of 5.6 seconds from 0 to 100km/h and a top speed of 263km/h.
Paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, the drivetrain offers increased comfort, faster gear shifts, reduced fuel consumption as well as reduced noise, vibration and harshness.
The design of the Quattroporte is distinctive and exclusive, a harmonious combination of elegance and sportiness - a true Maserati in terms of design, performance and even its characteristic exhaust note. Inside the car, the standard equipment is sumptuous with traditional handcrafted detailing for which the trident brand is known. Maserati also provides an exceptional degree of personalisation with a vast range of materials to choose from, including wood, carbon fibre, leather, Alcantara and numerous optional choices.
With this new addition to the Quattroporte family, it looks like exciting times ahead for Maserati as the new Levante SUV and Alfieri are also set to arrive soon, in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
