‘I’ actor Vikram turns 49 today

Vikram, who has been a renowned face not just in Tamil films but in Hindi movies as well, was last seen in 'I'.

Born as Kennedy John Victor, famous Tamil actor Vikram turned 49 on Friday (April 17). The actor, who has been a renowned face not just in Tamil films but in Hindi movies as well, was last seen in the hit movie ‘I’.

Vikram was born to a Christian father and a Hindu mother in 1966. He met his wife Shailaja Balakrishnan in the late 1980s and married her in Guruvayoor.

He began his career with modelling in advert films and a television serial titled, ‘Galatta Kudumbam’. Vikram made his debut in Tamil film industry in the year 1990 with the film ‘En Kadhal Kanmani’.

He has also appeared in bilingual film ‘Raavan’. Vikram played the role of Raavan in the Tamil movie, which was later played by Abhishek Bachchan in the Hindi remake. Seen as Aishwarya Rai’s husband in the hindi movie, he donned the role of a cop.

His latest Tamil movie ‘I’ has been a huge success at box office.
