Video: Japanese rugby international has broadcasters in stitches during bizarre interview

Fumiaki Tanaka, right, during the bizarre interview

Independent.ie Newsdesk

Fumiaki Tanaka is a 30 year old Japanese international scrumhalf with Otago and the Highlanders in New Zealand. He also has an unusual sense of humour.

With Japanese rugby on the up – the country is now up to 11th in the world rankings – he moved to New Zealand and is currently second fiddle to All Black Aaron Smith in the club's pecking order.

Tanaka has become something of a cult hero thanks to a number of entertaining off-field videos, and this latest starring role will only heighten his novelty factor.

The reaction back in studio merely add to the hilarity.
