Man held for fatally brutalizing lover
A man was arrested in Chiang Mai’s Muang district for allegedly killing a woman unintentionally by inserting a glass bottle into her anus, which later broke into pieces and fatally injured her while the two were having sex in a local motel.
While suspect Phara Choosri, 52, confessed to brutalising his lover Samorn Khlangdej out of jealousy because she regularly flirted with foreign men, police are investigating complaints by two other victims about a man who matches this man’s identity. Police said the two women had filed complaints with Mae Ping and Chang Phuek police stations in Muang district about a man who pretended to be a foreigner by speaking in English when approaching women, before taking them to motels and making them take a tranquilizer before intercourse.
Meanwhile, Phara admitted to biting Samorn’s nipples but did not explain the six wounds found on her breasts. He also said the victim had taken the tranquilizer out of her own free will and that he had not forced her.
The killing was discovered on Tuesday, prompting wide media coverage.
