POONCH, Apr 16: Nine employees of Health Department were placed under suspension while termination of a doctor (Medical Officer) engaged under NRHM was recommended to the Director Health Services during surprise checking in various PHCs and Health Centers in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that on the directions of the Director Health Services Jammu, Block Medical Officer Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan today paid visit to Primary Health Centre Dabraj and found Pharmacist Mohd Farid and an FMPHW Keshwar Sultana unauthorisedly absent from duty. He placed both the employees under suspension. Third employee Rubina Kouser was fined Rs 500 for violating dress code. At Health Sub Centre Ghani, the BMP placed yet another FMPHW Sita Devi under suspension.
At PHC Harni, the BMO placed class IV employee Majid Ahmed under suspension for being absent from duty while at Health Sub Centre Bhati Dhar Mr Khan imposed fine of Rs 500 each on FMPHWs- Zohra Begum and Shaheen Akhtar.
At PHC Chhatral, the BMO found three employees namely Shamshad Akhtar-FMPHW, Mohd Yousuf-BHW and Ghulam Abbas (Nursing Orderly) absent from duty and placed them under suspension. He also imposed fine of Rs 500 on Pharmacist Showkat Hussain and a Class -IV employee Majjar Hussain for violating dress code. At Sub Centre Sakhi Maidan, the BMO suspended Taj Hussain working as Nursing Ordely for being absent from duty. At Sub Centre Ucchad, FMPHW Neetu Bala was fined Rs 500 for violating dress code.
At PHC Mankote, the BMO fined Dr Haq Nawaz ( Dental Surgeon), Staff Nurse Sayeda Kouser and Parvez Akhtar, both FMPHWs for violating dress code. Medical Officer Dr Muzaffar Ahmed appointed under NRHM at this PHC was found unauthorisedly absent from duty for the last over two weeks. The BMO recommended his termination to the Director Health Services, Jammu.
