Speaking to TOI, Varun said that he had also spoken to several MPs of his party and convinced them that whatever the state and the Central governments were doing in this period of crisis for the farmers, they, as an individual, should also come out to help the farmers who stood ruined in the recent untimely rains and hailstorm.

He said that he had recently visited his constituency and the adjoining areas and found the condition of the farmers very pathetic after the untimely rains. He said that he has also raised the issue with the Samajwadi Party government and plans to help them at an individual level.
The BJP MP said that improving education among girls in the next five years was his priority, so he would open girls college in the blocks and the assembly constituencies which did not have any such college at present.
