Ink creates legally binding freelance contracts with ease

One of the most challenging aspects of being a freelance photographer is the legal side. It’s important to make sure both you and your client are protected, but it’s not always easy to get both entities' terms into legal writing that will hold up in court in the case things go sour.

Ink is here to fix that. Created by the team at Krit, Ink is a service that creates legally binding contracts in minutes. All you have to do is answer a few questions regarding who will own the work, what compensation will be and what will happen if the project falls through, just to name a few.

Once you’ve answered the questions, a customized contract is created. From there, you can send it to the client for reviews. If changes need to be made, the client can request the changes through the link you send them. When all is settled, both parties simply sign the contract and you’re set.

Krit co-founder Andrew Askins says the service and its contracts are based around US law, but they’re looking to expand their offerings to better suit international legal terms.
