AR Rahman, who was in Hyderabad on Wednesday, took some time off to pay a visit to a dargah in Nampally, apart from meeting Sania Mirza to wish her on becoming the World No. 1 doubles player in the world. However, not many know that the ace music director had a closed-door interaction with filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Their meeting even led to speculations that the duo might team up soon, although sources close to the director have denied these rumours.
A source in the know says, ���It���s the first time Rajamouli has had a private meeting with AR Rahman. It was a very casual conversation that lasted for nearly 20 minutes and AR Rahman was curious to know more about Baahubali and he said that he was eagerly waiting to watch the film. Moreover, AR Rahman liked both Magadheera and Eega, and he wanted to meet Rajamouli for quite some time now. Since he was in the city, the two decided to meet each other.���
Rahman���s association with Rajamouli���s family goes back a long way, thanks to music director MM Keeravaani. ���Rahman had worked with Keeravaani more than two decades ago and in the course of the discussion, Rahman also asked Rajamouli about how Keeravaani was doing. It was a simple conversation and there was no discussion about the two working together in near future,��� the source added.
