Senna director Asif Kapadia’s documentary about late pop singer Amy Winehouse will screen at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Amy (pictured) will get a midnight screening out of competition at the 68th annual event, which runs from May 13 to 24.

The film, which was produced by Kapadia, James Gay Ree’s indie On The Corner and Universal Music, will open in the UK on July 3 via distributor Altitude Film.

A24 has acquired the North American rights and is reportedly planning theatrical release for the summer. The acquisition is the first documentary for the Spring Breakers and Under The Skin distributor.
