    Lava launches Android Kitkat-powered Iris X1 Atom at Rs 4,444

    NEW DELHI: Home-bred handset maker Lava Thursday expanded its entry level Iris series of smartphone range with the launch of Iris X1 Atom and priced it at Rs 4,444.
    The Iris X1 Atom is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and 512 RAM, and runs on Android 4.4. The company said that the device will soon be upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system.

    The device features 5 MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA Front camera. The 3G phone comes equipped with 4GB internal memory and boasts of a 4 inch WVGA (480 x 800) display.

    The smartphone comes equipped with a 1750 mAh battery and offers software features such as Smart Swipe, which is a 4 way gesture shortcuts.

    On the connectivity front, Iris X1 Atom supports 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V2.1 and micro- USB v2.0. It supports MPEG4, H.263, H.264 Video codecs and has Full HD Video Playback option.

    Lava Iris X1 Atom will be available in white Silver, Black Silver and Black gold colors across all national retail chain stores, multi-brand outlets across India and ecommerce portals from next week.
