CA125 on the rise

Less than one minute read time.

Hi guys I had kept away from this site for most of the last 6 months. I guess while it looked like Mimi was in remission, out of sight out of mind.

On Monday we discovered that Mimi's count was on the rise a little. 3 months ago it was down as low as 14 now its 51, not the dizzy heights of the 11000 at the height of her illness but still a little worrying.

Were hoping its just a blip as in all other respects she is in rude health.

So now we are waiting for a scan.

Do any of you know if emotional upset can effect it? Only we had a big bust up the week before. Since her hysterectomy last year the menopause has kicked in big time, we are told she can't have HRT due to her cancer. I know its not her fault but she has not been easy to live with and things came to a head. We needed to clear the air and things are much better now, but it was emotionaly draining for both of us.

Best wishes to you all.

I too would be interested to know if emotional upset can affect you. I'm afraid gingercat that I'm in the same situation as mimi as due to my operation as part of treatment I too have been forced into menopause and cannot take HRT either. I also know I've not been easy to live with and feel helpless to fix it so I totally sympathise with both you and mimi. Im glad to hear though that you've both sorted it out and I hope the scan is ok.
